Welcome to www.atyourplace.co.uk My company provides Fork Lift Truck training for companies wishing to train operators how to drive fork lift trucks competently and safely. The Health and Safety Commission Approved Code of Practice for rider operated lift trucks is targeted to the basic training of all employees whose employment after 1st April 1989 includes for the first time the operation of lift trucks. To comply with their duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (section 2) and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (Regulations 9) employers must ensure that all operators, both new and existing, are adequately trained and when necessary provide for their additional or refresher training. I am an ITSSAR registered instructor with extensive warehouse experience, qualified to train operators on the following vehicles:
- Counterbalance trucks
- Reach trucks
- Low Level Order Picker trucks (rider mounted)
- Very Narrow Aisle trucks (man-up)
- Side Loader Trucks
ITSSAR
The Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (ITSSAR) is a self financing and non-profit making organisation, formed to offer accreditation to training instructors and organisations supplying industrial truck training services to industry. As well as offering accreditation, ITSSAR also has an ongoing programme monitoring training and safety to maintain and improve standards where necessary, in the operation of industrial trucks.
