to the Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (ITSSAR) standards on a wide range of Fork Lift Trucks. These include the following popular trucks :
At your place provides a selection of courses, these can be categorised into four types.
Novice Training. This course is for operators with little or no experience. Both practical and theoretical tuition is given, which is followed up by pre-shift checks and practical and theory tests. Upon the successful completion of the course all candidates will receive a signed certificate via their employer.
Uncertified Operator Training This course is for operators with experience but who have not completed a basic training course. Both practical and theoretical tuition is given, which is followed up by pre-shift checks and practical and theory tests. Upon the successful completion of the course all candidates will receive a signed certificate via their employer
Conversion Training. This course is for operators wanting a conversion course from one type of truck to another. Both practical and theoretical tuition is given, which is followed up by practical and theory tests. Upon the successful completion of the course all candidates will receive a signed certificate via their employer. The duration of the courses above is dependent on the trainees previous experience, the number of trainees attending the course, (maximum of three trainees per course) and the type of truck involved in the training. Refresher training. This is a 1 day training course for operators who have completed a basic training course within the last 5 years. They need to produce their certificate of basic training to the instructor on or before the date training commences. At your place recommend a 1 day refresher course is completed every 3 years. If it is over 5 years, since the operator completed the basic training and no refresher training courses have been completed in that period the operator would be required to complete a un-certified operators course rather than a refresher training course. The aim of the course is to ensure the operators driving skills are up to the required standard. Both practical and theoretical tuition is given, which is followed up by practical and theory tests. Upon the successful completion of the course all candidates will receive a signed certificate via their employer. (Maximum of three trainees per day).
