Training Content
All courses that are provided include theoretical and practical training and trainees are given tests on both. On successful completion of training, trainees are issued with certificates of basic training. Training will be on site at the customer’s premises. The benefits of this in house training are:
- The training is specific to the local environment and on the particular truck that the trainees will use.
- No requirement to send trainees off site to complete training.
- Training flexible to customers shift requirements.
The requirements for training courses are:
- Trainees for the duration of the course
- A relevant truck in a safe sound mechanical condition.
- A supply of empty pallets for chicane building.
- Pallets complete with loads.
- An area separate from the main work area (preferable under cover), to conduct practical training.
- A room suitable to conduct theory lessons. (The instructor will bring his own visual equipment).
The course and training take place in your own premises at a time convenient to yourselves.
LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR SAFETY CODE
This training is produced and run on the following content:
- Pre shift check.
- Safety rules for lift truck operators.
- Procedures for stacking/destacking with counterbalanced/reach lift trucks.
- Safety rules for reach truck, narrow aisle and order picker operators.
- Safety rules for operators of tractor trailer equipment.
- Safety rules for pedestrian controlled powered trucks.
- Diesel/LPG re-fuelling.
- Fork adjustment, removal and replacement.
- Extinguishers.
- Practical and multichoice theory exam.
- Safety Rules for charging and changing batteries
